It's been a lot of things. Now it's a pub.
Built when Inglewood was the town's first proper neighbourhood, this was Calgary's third fire station. Horses, hand pumps, and a brass pole upstairs that we still know exactly where it was.
The trucks got too big for the doors. The building stayed. For forty years it was a community hall, a rooming house, a print shop, and a few things nobody wrote down.
Doors opened as a pub. Same brick, same beams, same crooked floor. We took it over in 1996, kept everything we could, and replaced the rest carefully.
Oh, and it's haunted.
